Entry #00008

There is going to be a 100 mile motorcycle charity ride for little Allison. Its being organized by our church and a Christian motorcycle association. The date set so far is August 25 which was Alli's due date, though they didn't know it. There's also still going to be a benefit for her Memorial Fund though a date for that has not been set.

Nicole Hummel:

Hello Chris and Holly,
I saw a post by you on a memorial website (don't remember the name of it, sorry) and decided to check your website. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Your experience hits close to home for me. I was a preemie born at 26 weeks, spent 4 months in NICU, and my parents lost my twin brother when we were about eight months old.
I have also had 2 miscarriages in the last four months.
So although I have not been through the same situation as you, I know that nothing is worse than the tragedy of outliving one of your children. Holly, I can only imgaine how difficult it was for you to go back and download Alli's pictures and videos.
I hope that you are finding healthy ways to grieve and cope with this horrible loss and that your friends, family, and church members are being helpful and supportive to you, in the times when you need it most.
Best wishes on the charity fundraiser next month.

Sincerely yours,
Nicole Hummel
